It’s freezing, and this time of year the fashion mob always come up with the same thing – mainly that chunky knits have just come into fashion.

But what I’ve found is that they always are. What bloke doesn’t like to get snuggled up in the most rugged, men's sweaters, and what girl doesn’t like seeing blokes looking all hard, but soft too? You’ll see features in fashion mags talking about how chunky jumpers are big this season, but you’ll see exactly the same articles next year, and the year after.

There’s something strangely 80s about really chunky pullovers, especially in pastel colours. But a black or charcoal chunky knit is a timeless piece of fashion.

Because these chunky woollies will always be in fashion, make sure you get one from a good quality designer and you can wear it for year after year, without it getting threadbare. French connection and Aspecto have some nice a few chunky pullovers this season, and they’re not covered in logos so people won’t recognise them when you get them out of the wardrobe next winter.
