1 - Cashmere sweaters
Cashmere wool comes from the coat of the Cashmere goat and combines incredible lightness with a
warmth I’ve never found in any other wool. A guy who has never tried a cashmere sweater will be
amazed at how light and thin it is and just as amazed at how it’s so much warmer than that heavy
wool sweater he’s used to. And us girls love to stroke them too!
You can now even buy cashmere men’s sweaters that can be machine washed and tumble dried.
They may cost that little bit extra, but cashmere has great wearing properties and will keep your
guy warm as toast for years. Now how’s that for a Christmas gift idea?
2 - Lambswool sweaters
Lambs wool sweaters are soft to the touch, hard wearing, but heavier and not as warm as cashmere.
They also cost a fair bit less, but like the best cashmere can be machine washed and tumble dried.
Your fashion blog writer has heard many explanations of what makes lambs wool different from sheep
’s wool, and I know that lambs wool doesn’t come from little tiny lambs skipping about the
fields. Sheep still count as lambs when to look at them, you and I would think they’d reached
retirement age!
